If you are a bride-to-be, this post is especially for you. I got married about three months ago, and let me tell you, modest wedding gowns are hard to come by! Here in Utah there are a bunch of cute boutiques that sell temple-ready dresses, but shopping for a wedding dress in California is a totally different story! If you are looking for strapless, sheer, low-cut, or crazy colored dresses, California stores have them. They pretty much have everything except the modest dresses!
I got engaged while I was at school in Utah, so I had my mom scout out some good bridal shops in California that we could visit. She searched for a long time, and really only found one store that had modest styles-- David's Bridal. David's Bridal is all over the map, so that's a great thing for you brides who need a more modest gown!
When I came in for my appointment, I tried on about six dresses (I thought it was pretty cool that they had that many "modest-ish" dresses). The dress pictured at the left was by far my favorite! It had everything I wanted: beading, detailed lace, long-sleeves, and a dreamy, long train. The only thing that wasn't perfect about the dress was the modesty aspect. It was sooo close to being perfect! As you can see in the picture, it was VERY low cut in the front, had a deep v-shaped back, and also shorter sleeves than what I had wanted.
