shop search: Made Modest!

Happy Sunday, everyone! This week was CRAZY busy, but I managed to get this fun post up for this week. I hope you enjoy this little shop search. :)

Next up on my modest shop search = Made Modest! This is a cute online boutique that I actually found on Instagram randomly. They have cute, modest, and AFFORDABLE clothes! I always find it weird that when modest clothing stores have ridiculously high prices. Made Modest really does have great prices (and really good sales too!). Alright, let's get the down-low on Made Modest boutique:


1. MODESTY 

Scrolling through the "All Items" list, I can see that these clothing items are very modest! They have knee length shorts (YES), cap sleeves on shirts, skirts that come below the knee, and dresses that come either to the knee or below it. The only thing I saw that was kind of iffy was a pair of ripped jeans where the rip came higher than the knee (about mid-thigh). Other than that, this place is awesome!

2. STYLE

I would say Made Modest has a slightly modern, slightly tomboy feel. They have some floral patterns, lots of black/white/gray, and plenty of fun textures to experiment with. If you are not into the super girly look, then look up this place! I feel like Made Modest is also great if you just want MODEST CASUAL clothes. They have casual jeans, shorts, t-shirts, t-shirt dresses, etc. I personally love that they offer so many options for women who want to stay modest! And here's something unique about Made Modest: they offer ACCESSORIES! They've got brimmed hats, baseball hats, long wrap necklaces, and bar bracelets. 

One last note on style: they have cute packaging! My skirt was shipped in a regular shipping bag, but when you open it up, your purchased items are wrapped in fun black & white patterned paper and sealed with a Made Modest sticker! :)

3. PRICE + QUALITY

If you are a bargain-finder like me, this place is for you! They have super affordable prices for nice quality clothes. I'll just give you guys a quick list of their ranges in price by category (this includes items on sale):

- Dresses: $12.49-$42.00
- Shirts: $10.00-$23.50
- Skirts/Shorts/Jeans: $9.99-$34.99

I mean, seriously, who can beat those prices? I got this cute black floral skirt for just $11.50! I was so excited when I found it that I HAD to snatch it up. 
When it comes to quality, I would say it is pretty good. I can tell my skirt was sewn nicely and that the fabric is good and sturdy. The fabric is not as soft as say MikaRose, but I think it's more because that's the style of the skirt. Seriously, if you are looking for good quality, affordable clothes, this place is perfect!

4. SIZE + FIT

I'm always a little hesitant to shop online because you never know if the fit will be true to size! For this skirt, I bought a medium and it actually fits really well. This skirt has a stretchy waistband too, so it can adjust to small differences in size. Something nice about this website is when you click on an item, it will tell you what size the model is wearing (and how tall they are depending on the item of clothing)! Definitely will be shopping here again.
